Paul Deslandes

new-work-from-glasgow
Ionian inception and its curiosities is an installation of work that acted as a spontaneous
response to the space it was showed in. The work was displayed in a disused dissection lab
at UCC Cork, Ireland as part of a curated group show from Glasgow School of Arts recent
post-graduates. This installation was both in its very own nature the genesis of a new focus
in the artist’s practice as well as a reflection focusing on the idea of Consilience between
the arts and natural sciences, an idea first formed by the great thinkers of the Renaissance’s
Enlightenment.
